Family

Sometimes family can be very loving and sometimes they can just be a pain in the ... But no matter what we love them, good and bad. Lately it seems my family has been in an upheaval over one thing or another, one kid or another. I get frustrated, aggravated and sometimes just down right annoyed and tell them to leave me out of it.

It's funny how when I was younger I only wanted one child. Well that was not meant to be. Which is ok with me. I have 3 children who are adults and all have significant others in their life. None are married at the moment.

I also have 2 grandchildren and 1 on the way. Grandchildren are wonderful and oh so much fun to spoil. Unfortunately my grandson, I have not been able to see let alone spoil. That in itself is a long story but he will be 18 in a little over a year and then no one can stop him from seeing me. He still to this day after all these years, wants to come live with me. I will welcome him with open arms. My newest grandson will be here sometime in March and I can't wait to see him and hold him in my arms.

I also have a great granddaughter who is so precious. She just lights me up. And she also lights up when she sees me. I watch her while her mother, my granddaughter, goes to work. We have so much fun together. She is 10 months old at the moment and getting around everything. I predict she will be walking so very soon. Then I think I will be in trouble. She sure keeps my on my toes. People look at me funny when I say she is my great granddaughter, and they tell me I am not old enough. Well that's true I am not, but better to be young enough to enjoy them.

There are 5 generations in my family now. We were able to have our pictures taken by a wonderful friend of mine during my granddaughters graduation party. All the pictures that were taken turned out wonderful. I am so grateful and blessed to have such wonderful friends.

During this graduation party I was able to get some extended family pictures taken and I am so happy for that. A lot of my parents siblings are not around anymore and the ones that are left are getting up there and some are sick. Pictures are such wonderful memories that we can hang onto. And will be great to look upon in years to come.

This is just a small glimpse into my family as it is right now. On paper everything looks wonderful and happy. And that's the way I want it to be and maybe by looking at these pictures I can dream. Children grow up so fast and I swear it happens overnight. And in the wink of an eye they can be gone. I cherish my family and love them so much. They are not perfect, but they are mine.

I hope you enjoyed the little trip down memory lane with me. Have a wonderful day and cherish every moment.

Attitude of Gratitude

***Being physically able, with some modification***
to move furniture around and rearrange my home.

***Visiting with relatives that you don't see very often***

***Finding new recipes, trying them***
and having your family LOVE them
and want you to make it again

***Being able to sleep in my bed for more then***
4hrs at a time and actually sleeping
without to much pain

Attitude of Gratitude

Even though this has not been a very good week for a variety of reasons. I still am trying hard to think positive and I honestly do have a lot to be grateful for.

Freedom of Religion
Wonderful friends who are there for me and know when to talk, when to listen and when to just give me a hug and leave it at that.
Time to ponder without interruption.
